Option 1: Purchase the Hat Pattern Only and make your own

What is included with the pattern?

  • Comprehensive instructions

You provide: 2 ply Buckram, wire, bias binding, heavy weight thread, needles, glue (if needed)

Option 2: Purchase a Hat Making Kit

Includes:

  • Hat Making Pattern of your choice
  • 2ply crown buckram (sufficient for the style of hat selected)
  • 19 Gauge Millinery Wire (sufficient for the style of hat selected)
  • Bias Binding (sufficient for the style of hat selected)

You provide:

  • Needles - curved and/or straight (sold separately under supplies)
  • Heavy duty thread
  • Glue (if required)

Note: The buckram pieces are provided rough cut so that they fit into a smaller box. This makes shipping the entire kit less expensive for you.

Option 3: Purchase a Completed Hat Frame

Includes: Assembled crown with 2ply crown buckram, wired, and bound with bias and a brim wired and bound with bias.

You cover it yourself, sew the pieces together, and decorate (specific styles available). You don't need cover pattern and instructions, you can figure that out yourself.

Note: Brim and crown are shipped unattached for ease in covering. They can be sewn together by request prior to shipping

Special pricing for this set. Having the cover pattern and instructions available makes life a whole lot easier. Includes Pattern (option 1) and Completed Frame (option 3).

Notes:

  • The larger hats are available in kits and completed frame upon request. Shipping charges may be higher due to the size of the brim buckram. These require custom pricing and shipping.
  • Glace millinery thread in 24AWG is no longer available and is no longer included in the kits. Suggest using heavy weight poyester thread or nylon thread available at fabric stores for hand stitching and attaching the brim and crown.
  • Needles are readily available at fabric stores so are no longer included in the kit. They can be purchased separately by clicking here.
