Mrs. Bowerman Buckram Frame Hat

Available as a Pattern. Image on the left is shown as bare frame ready to be covered. Click through images on the right to see pictures of the Mrs. frame completed.

Mrs. Bowerman Pattern Description: This is a general purpose hat that fits down over the head and has a wide brim for shade. The crown is actually larger than the head opening so the construction process is a little different than the other hats. Can traverse almost any period including Late Victorian, Edwardian, Titanic, up through 1920 or even contemporary red hats! Steampunk or any other genre.

The hat was originally designed for Mary Jane Bradbury (shown) http://www.biosinhistory.com/ who portrayed Mrs. Bowerman, a passenger on the Titanic, at the national Titanic exhibit at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

Note: The frame picture makes the crown look much higher than it actually is.
